St. John’s Latin Church Jaffa

St. John’s Latin Church in Yafia serves a vibrant community of approximately 2,500 members and stands as the largest church in the village. In addition to regular religious services, the church is home to a variety of community activities, including youth and scout's groups, educational programs, and social events that bring the entire Latin community together.

However, the current building presents accessibility challenges for elderly parishioners and individuals with physical limitations, as access to the main entrance requires climbing several stairs. In order to ensure that all members of the community can participate fully and with dignity in church life, the parish is planning to install an accessibility lift alongside the existing staircase.

The total cost of implementing this important project, including design, equipment, and installation, is estimated at approximately $27,000.
